Ordinance Enforcement Officer

The Centre County Solid Waste Authority is accepting applications for the position of Ordinance Enforcement Officer.  This position is responsible for implementing the requirements of the Centre County Municipal Waste Management Ordinance; handling illegal dumping complaints, conducting investigations and prosecutions; cleanup of dump sites in Centre County; and performing education activities relative to illegal dumping.  Salary is commensurate with experience, and the Authority provides a comprehensive benefit package including major medical insurance and retirement benefits.  The successful applicant shall have a high school education or equivalent, and at least two years of law enforcement experience.  Interested individuals may contact the Authority for a complete job description and listing of benefits.  Resumes should be submitted by 4:00 P.M., August 4, 2008, and be addressed to the Executive Director, Centre County Solid Waste Authority, 253 Transfer Road, Bellefonte, PA, 16823 or emailed to Wasted5@uplink.net.  The Centre County Solid Waste Authority is an equal opportunity employer.
