Curbside Recycling

Curbside Collection

  • When Does Recycling Start? - Residents should have recycling bins and trash containers set out by the time pickup crews begin collection at 7:00 a.m.
  • How Often Are They Collected? - Curbside recyclable collection is done weekly, on the same day as trash pickup.
  • Collection Day Questions - State College Borough and Bellefonte Borough residents should contact the Centre County Solid Waste Authority (238-7005) with collection questions. If you live in the Centre Region (College, Ferguson, Harris, and Patton Townships), your regional trash hauler (237-3713) will assist you. Residents of other municipalities should contact their private trash hauler.
  • Holiday Collections - If a holiday falls on your recycling and trash collection day in State College and Bellefonte, your recyclables will be picked up on Wednesday.
